Landon ranked 2nd in the conference! Live blog as he competes in conference!

Talk about a live blog.........I am so excited and nervous......it is 10 minutes after 12:00 and Landon's first ever NCAA Division II Conference Pole Vaulting competition has gotten underway. I want so bad to be there..........He promised to call as soon as he is done....Of course I want him to do well, but most of all I pray that he lands on the mat! He broke a pole (the one he has been doing so well on) Wednesday of this week while vaulting in practice. I don't think he will have a new pole by today, but Coach Hood said he will have one by Nationals in Charlotte, NC. Since he broke his pole........they moved him up to a LARGER pole....to finish practice on Wednesday, and he cleared the bar, but as he was on his way down his chest bowed the bar and popped the bar up to his face and hit his lip and his tooth busted a hole through his lip......he said the trainer did not think he needed stitches..........What a week to have before conference...

Landon, whatever the results today.......you are incredible.....and dad and I could not be prouder.. Congrats on your grades too! Good Luck on ending the semester with a 4.0...We love you.....and may God be with you in the hours ahead......Amen
